Sustainable Airports Gathering Program
Sustainable Airports Gathering
- Building the World’s Sustainable Aviation Fuel Bridges
Airports are no longer merely transport hubs; they are becoming pivotal nodes in the global energy transition. However, airports across regions continue to face shared challenges, including ageing infrastructure, fragmented cross-border logistics standards, and the high cost of retrofitting existing systems.
Who Will You Meet?

The Sustainable Airports Gathering series is designed to convene 20+ regional and global airports, creating a focused platform for in-depth dialogue and collaboration. Through a three-pronged approach - initiative signing ceremonies, closed-door roundtables, and strategic panel discussion - the programme aims to address regional barriers across policy, strategy, and technology.
Beyond discussions on SAF refuelling readiness, the Gathering will explore how airports can collectively establish a transparent, efficient, and resilient fuel supply corridor, supporting the long-term scale-up of sustainable aviation across the Asia-Pacific region.

All-day Programme - 8 July 2026
09:05 - 09:25
(20 mins)
[Initiative Signing] Fuel Anywhere: Building the World’s Sustainable Aviation Fuel Bridges
-
Format: 20-minute high-level signing ceremony at Strategic Summit
-
Signatory members commit to joint action in advancing airport sustainability, with a shared objective of accelerating low-carbon aviation development and coordinated infrastructure upgrades across the region.
Closed-Room Discussion
13:30 - 14:10 (40mins)
[Roundtable] Co-locating SAF Production with Airports: Opportunity or Constraint for APAC?
-
Format: 60-minute roundtable discussion at meeting room
-
As SAF projects scale globally, some regions are exploring co-location models, integrating SAF/LCLF production facilities directly with airport infrastructure to reduce transport costs and streamline supply chains. This roundtable will examine whether such models are commercially viable and scalable in APAC and Australia, considering differences in feedstock availability, land constraints, infrastructure, and policy environments.
